Are your calls one sound repeated?
Our sounds are created from actual animal recordings. They are not just a quick segment that has to be played over and over. The sounds are built into loops allowing the hunter to watch for prey instead of pushing buttons.
Are your sounds real animals or hand calls?
The vast majority of our sounds are real animal sounds. However we have included some of the industries top hand blown calls for customers that feel certain calls are more productive.
Can I charge the unit in my vehicle?
Yes using the GameTraks car adaptor.
Do I have to use your sounds?
No, though our sounds are recommended as they are fully tested on the unit to produce the best calls possible. The unit supports .mp3, and our proprietary sound format.
Does the warranty cover my battery?
Batteries are a one year warranty
Doesn't the speaker drain the batteries quickly?
If you used the speaker at the full volume continues playing a sound the batteries
will last for 5-6 hours. Our field testers have called 60 stands over the course of 3 days in zero deg weather before the batteries needed recharging.
How can you be sure another caller won't be on the same frequency?
This is not an issue due to our priority code detection. This means that the hand held unit and speaker are locked together.
How do I play/switch sounds in a Hunt?
6 sounds are displayed in a Hunt.
To play or switch sounds, press the button next to that sound on the display.
Change to another sound instantly by pushing any of the other sounds in that Hunt.
Also, in a Hunt you can push one sound and be Hands Free.
The unit will auto play all sounds in sequence from any sound selected.
Auto loops the 6 sounds until you change or stop the sound - silent time between sounds
can be changed before playing or during operation.
How do you transfer sounds on to the unit?
Sounds are transferred onto the hand held & speaker through a USB port.
Download the free GameTraks PC Sound Manger Software from the website. Simply drag and drop the sounds from the right column (Master Library) into Left column (play List) and plug in the hand held & speaker to automatically update and sync your unit together.
Note: Look for the green check marks to confirm that your hand held & speaker are locked (synced) together
How does your speaker detection work?
Speaker detection is an automatic communication between the speaker and the hand held. The hand held automatically knows how many speakers are being used.
How does your unit perform in freezing temperatures?
Excellent, our Lithium Ion Batteries work extremely well in cold weather. In extremely cold conditions the LCD display may become hard to read, though this should not affect the units' performance.
How heavy are your speakers?
2.5 pounds.
How heavy is the hand held unit?
.80 pounds.
How long can I call on one battery charge?
Under typical conditions 8-12 hours.
How long will your batteries last before they need to be charged?
8-12 hours during normal usage, 5-6 hours running continues at full volume. Total charge for dead batteries is 2 hours for hand held and 4 hours for speakers.
How many calls can be stored on the unit?
The unit comes standard with 1GB of memory that is upgradeable. It can store our entire library of 400+ sounds.
If I buy an extra speaker do I get a speaker stand with it?
Each speaker comes with a base.
Is there a disk that has the sounds on it?
No, the 35 sounds that come with your unit are preloaded into internal memory and can be expanded to over 400+ sounds. Additional GameTraks sounds can be purchased on the website and will down load automatically into you PC software. Or you can add your own MP3 sound onto your unit.
Is this legal in my state?
Check your local game laws.
Is your unit waterproof?
No, not water proof but it is extremely water resistant. We have gone to great length to
make the unit water resistant. Both the hand held and speaker have a full body special gasket system to makes the unit as water resistant as possible, Even the battery compartments have a separate internal gasket to keep water out.
What do you consider to be rough terrain?
Rough terrain is subject to the site topography and ground cover density of the area being used.
What do you mean by hibernate?
This feature allows the speaker to power down after preset time period of 1 hour. When the hand held is brought back in range or turned on after a short delay it will wake up the speaker and calling can commence.
What do you mean by smart space?
Smart space gives the hunter the ability to set the length of silent time between sounds.
What is smart volume?
Smart volume allows the hunter to preset the volume of the calls to be using. Once the volume is set the unit will remember that setting even if the unit is turned off. The last volume level used for that sound is remembered in each Hunt.
What is sound Modulation?
Sound modulation is changing the pitch and frequency. Our unit does this automatically at the start of each call, changing up the sound for previously called animals.
What is the Warranty?
5 years.
What sounds come with the unit?
If you order the unit from our web site then you pick the 35 sounds from our library. Units purchased through our dealer network will come preloaded with the 35 most popular sounds in our library.
Who carries your units right now?
We are in the process of setting up a dealer network. Keep checking with your local sporting goods stores.
Why did you go with Lithium Ion batteries?
Lithium Ion Batteries are lighter, work better in cold weather, they do not retain a memory during charging, and they put out more voltage than a regular battery the same size.
